    Insight Exposure & Risk Sciences is seeking highly motivated candidates for a number of available full-time positions as a Exposure & Risk Assessment Scientists for early-career consultant. Persons who apply should have a desire and ability to work individually and in teams in a fast-paced environment on diverse and multidisciplinary projects.

    General Responsibilities

    • Literature reviews and research (e.g. scientific and regulatory research)

    • Review and summarization of project documents

    • Technical writing

    • Data entry and analysis

    • Assist with scientific publications and presentations

    • Assist with preparation of client deliverables

    • Occasional field sampling/data collection or project travel

    • Model and promote company values, which focus on professionalism; collaboration; diversity of people, thoughts, and ideas; integrity; and scientific curiosity and innovation

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, with a focus in one or more of the following disciplines:

      • Risk Assessment

      • Exposure Assessment

      • Occupational & Environmental Health

      • Similar training/experience with a quantitative science or engineering emphasis

    • Strong analytical and quantitative skills

    • Excellent research and technical writing skills

    • Strong time management skills and ability to operate in a fast-paced envrionment with dynamic deadlines

    • Ability to quickly learn, synthesize, and present scientific information

    • Demonstrated history of taking initiative and self-starting behaviors

    • Scientific research experience (educational or professional) required

    Salary Range & Benefits

    $65,000-$90,000, annually

    Job Description

    Insight Exposure & Risk Sciences is seeking highly motivated candidates for a temporary full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) summer internship position. Specific dates of internship can be flexible (minimum 10-week commitment between May and September). Persons who apply should have a desire and ability to work individually and in teams in a fast-paced environment on diverse and multidisciplinary projects.

    For the Health Risk Assessment Intern position, Insight is seeking a student with a strong interest in performing applied epidemiology using the weight of evidence approaches and case-control study design. This position is designed for the intern to contribute to one to three long-term projects during the internship period, and the intern will also assist Insight scientists with other smaller tasks throughout the internship.

     Responsibilities

    • Support one or more project teams at the direction of one or more project managers

    • Conduct literature reviews and research (e.g. scientific and regulatory research)

    • Review and summarize project documents

    • Perform technical writing, data entry and/or data analysis

    • Perform basic coding and biostatistics

    • Assist with publications, presentations, and/or client deliverables

    Qualifications

    • Beginner proficiency performing statistical analyses using R and/or Excel, or other comparable statistical software

    • Introductory-level coursework in biostatistics

    • Some experience or coursework in one or more of the following disciplines preferred:

      • Industrial Hygiene

      • Exposure Assessment

      • Risk Assessment

      • Environmental Sciences
