Ms. Deanna Badger is a Risk Assessment Scientist with over six years of experience in exposure and risk assessment. Her training and areas of expertise include toxicology, chemistry, chemical engineering, human health and ecological risk assessment, and exposure assessment and modeling. Deanna has experience estimating occupational, consumer, and environmental exposures to various substances, including asbestos, talc, N-nitrosamines, heavy metals, flavorants, chlorinated solvents, and flame retardants. She additionally has experience in providing technical support to expert witnesses in toxic tort litigation matters. Her research has included evaluating the potential health risks of 1,1,2-trichloroethane to avian species as well as mercury, lead, cadmium, and arsenic contamination in baby foods to children. She is interested in quantifying human and ecological exposures to toxic chemicals, developing methodologies to screen chemicals for hazards, and designing and executing simulation studies.
