Fian is a Senior Risk Assessment Scientist with over eight years of experience in exposure and risk assessment. Her primary areas of training and expertise include toxicology, exposure and risk assessment, industrial hygiene, and workplace health and safety. Fian has experience assessing risk and exposure in workplaces, communities, and consumers associated with various substances including, but not limited to, asbestos, benzene, heavy metals, herbicides, and PFAS. Her research has included evaluating exposures to historical uses of asbestos; glyphosate from foods and dietary styles; and metals, particulates, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), inorganic acids, and phthalates in consumer products. She has assisted with the execution and analysis of exposure simulation studies as well as prepared site-specific safety protocols. In addition, she has experience providing technical support for expert witnesses in litigation matters.
