Katrina is an Assistant Risk Assessment Scientist who joined Insight in August of 2023. Her areas of academic training include epidemiology, biostatistical analysis, infectious disease, occupational and environmental health, and research study design. She previously worked as a research fellow on a project focused on understanding exposure levels to Dithiocarbamate fungicides in both occupational and non-occupational populations. Katrina’s other previous research topics include vector borne diseases in canine models, hospital infection prevention needs in pandemic like circumstances, the impact of traumatic events on fertility in female veterans, the impact of head trauma and acute brain injuries on the mental health of veterans, and the role of antimicrobial stewardship and shared decision making in managing antimicrobial resistance.
